Open to people of all ages, Velocity will be marching in a hand-full of parades in the Milwaukee area this summer in hopes of raising awareness of the activity, developing skills and raising money for the 2011 season. The best part is – all parade participants interested in marching the 2011 competitive season will get discounted member dues. No experience necessary and no scheduled rehearsals. We will meet up to two hours before the parades and review a short routine as well as learn easy follow-the-leader drills that will be used for the second song.

What to wear?
For this first summer of parades, we are going to keep it very simple. white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, white socks and as close to white tennis shoes as you have. If the summer season is a success, we may be investing in actual summer guard uniforms.
